Tasks
As parents we need to keep in mind how difficult a task is that we are asking our child to do based on their current ability. Make sure your expectations are attainable at first; you want to be sure that the child gains access to the reinforcer on a daily basis in the beginning to establish or strengthen the frequency and accuracy of the behavior. Focus on Today
Many of you may be thinking that you didn’t turn out too bad, in fact we hear all the time, “well my parents raised me this way and I turned out OK” well that was yesterday, we are focusing on today, we live in a much different time and place then yesterday and therefore new skills have evolved to keep up with the pace of the modern world, today’s world. The Key to Modern Parenting
The key to Modern Parenting is learning how to manage your child’s behavior by guiding and teaching them, over failed attempts to control or have power over them. Once you learn this philosophy, you simply apply the techniques consistently, on a daily basis resulting in a recipe for success not to mention a lot less grey hairs on our part as parents!

Living Happy!
We don’t see parents who are glowing with love for their children and who relish every minute they get to be a parent to these children. We are on a mission to change this imbalance in homes across America, we want to see happy and healthy families who are so thankful that they get to spend each and every day together and live….happily ever after of course. Please visit us at www.smp4kids.com to share your stories!

Patience
When you feel like you will lose your mind, you will keep this to yourself; do not lose it in front of your children. Many of us tend to forget our censor at times like this and the ranting just flies out, this is when you remind yourself that these young people are still children and they are on their own journey, you must be their level headed guide. Please visit us at www.smp4kids.com and share your stories!

Voice Tone
It’s not what you say, but how you say it. So remember this when praising your child. Remember to sound excited and be sure your facial expression and voice tone send the same message.

Guardian Angel
As parents we are not ever going to be at our child's side all the time, so our job is to build them up and teach them well so they feel like we are on their shoulder at all times...their guardian angel constantly there in presence assisting their decision making process.
